Zine — Print to Digital

Young professionals living in the city need a bike to commute to work during the week and take to an off-road trail on the weekends. This publication faced the challenge of targeting these individuals. With a clean and modern, layout, CX Magazine will be able to engage this generation that protect the environment by riding their bicycles to work. The diagonal layout of the body text, along with all the images that are facing right, creates a sense of motion which conveys a forward moving approach just as cyclocross bikes are becoming more and more popular every year. In the TOC and spreads, some text is nested inside of a tight space, mimicking the way bicycle companies place their brands on the frame and fork.

To add more value to a subscription, CX Magazine will give their membership holders the opportunity to access every issue through the website. This digital form of the publication focuses on providing value and interactivity, giving the user a different experience from that of simply being able to flip the page.
